The day will be run by a female blacksmith/ metalworker and a carpenter who are both passionate gardeners and about green community projects.

The idea is to mend and repair to save money and environmental resources of buying new. It is also to meet other community gardeners, learn new skills and empower ANYONE who wants to take part. Everyone welcome in a non-judgemental space.

SCHEDULE:

Morning session (10am - 12pm) - Demos and Q&A followed by refreshments

The first part of the day will be demonstrations on blade sharpening, re-handling, changing tyres on wheelbarrows and using a drill with general Q&A’s. Followed by refreshments.

Afternoon session (1pm- 3pm) - Fix the tools you have brought along

The second part of the day we will be helping you to mend the tools you bring.

Feel free to stay all day or just come to the first part of the day.

If you would like to attend, please sign up on Eventbrite to book your space.

We will then send out a quick questionnaire so we can make sure we have everything you need and to find out which demos would be most useful to people.
